History[]

Background[]

Georgia was born Mary Rose Reilly in St. Hunna's General Hospital on July 31, 1989, to Daisy and Shane Reilly in Birmingham, Alabama. When Georgia was six years old, her father was arrested and incarcerated in New Mexico for attempted murder. Her mother later remarried another man, Ed Atkins, and had a second child, Maddie, with him. From this point on until around age ten, she communicated with her father from prison.

Georgia grew up in a trailer park in rural eastern Alabama. She was physically and sexually abused by her stepfather, Ed Atkins, since she was very young. Still, according to Georgia, her mother never noticed because she was asleep in the next room when it used to happen. Georgia’s mother also struggled with substance abuse, having been addicted to Oxy for all of her half sister Maddie's childhood. Most of Georgia's time has been spent taking care of Maddie growing up. Both her mother and stepfather were regularly going in and out of jail throughout her childhood due to multiple drug related arrests. Subsequently, she and Maddie got into a lot of risky situations together, with Georgia even chasing Maddie around their lawn with a WD-40 torch on one occasion as kids. Georgia has an 8th-grade education, having dropped out of high school at 14 and having never graduated.

When Georgia was 14 years old, she ran away from her home after a violent altercation with her stepfather and wound up homeless. She ends up meeting a member of a motorcycle gang shortly after at a truck stop near the Georgia border, where she changes her name from Mary to Georgia. She later meets Marty, and a guy called Zion at a dive bar in Atlanta, whom she instantly falls in love with. She ends up joining the motorcycle gang, the Blood Eyes. During this time, she commits her first crimes, shoplifting and robbing a gas station at gunpoint before going back to her old trailer, where she confronted her stepfather and shot him in the hand in front of her mother with the Blood Eyes standing outside, with the latter incident being reported to authorities.

Georgia found out she was pregnant when she was 15 years old. She meets Joe afterwards and talks with him; it's in this conversation that she learns about the town of Wellsbury. Zion introduced her to his parents in Virginia, who were initially supportive of Georgia and took care of everything regarding the pregnancy and Ginny's first year. However, when Ginny was one year old, Zion’s parents requested legal guardianship over Ginny, prompting Georgia to leave Zion and his parents, taking Ginny with her.

Georgia ended up in New Orleans and started working as a hotel maid at La Chateau Greene in 2005. The owner of the hotel, Anthony Greene, took an interest in her and watched Ginny for her when necessary. Georgia started a poker ring to make more money, but it isn’t long until her half-sister, Maddie, shows up and quickly gets sent away, only to take the money of the poker ring with her. A little while later, Georgia gets arrested at 17 years old for money laundering and running an underground gambling ring. As a result, she spends time in jail while Ginny is placed in foster care. In a desperate attempt to get her daughter back, she decides to marry Anthony Greene. Weeks later, she ends up accidentally murdering him via overdose in an attempt to knock him out. With help from the Blood Eyes in covering up the death, Anthony Greene ends up being reported as a missing person.

Georgia went back to Zion, and they lived together with Ginny for a year. Zion, who was angry at Georgia for taking Ginny away for a year, and later became frustrated at having to work at his father’s company. When Georgia picked up on this, she decided to leave Zion and raise Ginny without him directly in their lives, so that Zion could go on with his life and pursue his real aspirations.

Georgia and Ginny moved to Austin, Texas, where she worked as a waitress, struggling to support herself and Ginny, and pay for basic needs such as rent, electricity, clothes, and food. She worked overtime and had to resort to shoplifting, trickery, and theft to get by. When she's 19 years old, she meets Gil, who claims to have a good job. They fell in love quickly, and despite not initially telling him she had a daughter, Gil also took care of Ginny. However, their relationship turns into an unstable one when Georgia finds out Gil makes money through criminal ways--embezzling funds through his company and when Gil starts physically and emotionally abusing Georgia. Georgia decides to run away with Ginny, but ends up staying with Gil when Georgia finds out she’s pregnant with Austin when she was 21 years old. Gil’s abuse didn’t stop despite Austin being born, leading Georgia to frame Gil a few years later for defrauding and embezzling $100,000 from the company he works for, with him being subsequently incarcerated for the next six years.

Georgia got back together with Zion a couple of times afterwards, only to break up again. Georgia has also been in a few other relationships, specifically with at least three men named Omid, Louis, and Tucker, before the events of Season 1. Eventually, Georgia, Ginny, and Austin moved to Fort Worth, where she met Kenny Drexel, whom she claims to have met whilst working as a waitress at The Buffalo Hole. The two married, and Georgia worked as a yoga instructor at one of his yoga studios.

Shortly before the events of Season 1, after Georgia catches Kenny touching Ginny inappropriately, she decides to murder him by making him a smoothie with wolfsbane in it, leading him to have a heart attack whilst driving and crash his car.

Throughout the Series[]

Season 1[]

After the death of her husband, Kenny Drexel, Georgia decided that she and her kids needed to leave their lives in Texas and start fresh in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.

It was Sunday, September 6, 2020. In their new home, their neighbor from across the street introduced herself as Ellen. Ellen felt embarrassed that Georgia saw her shouting at her son Marcus, whom she had just caught smoking weed in public. Georgia said that she understood teenagers, as she had one of her own, Ginny, her first child, whom she gave birth to at fifteen.

The next morning, Monday, September 7, 2020, Georgia met the other mothers on the first day of school. Austin, her youngest child, was nervous about his first day of school. The leader of the group of parents mentioned that they are worried about the fast-food options being offered to their kids at lunch. Georgia pretended that she cared and accepted the invitation to a meeting with the town’s mayor to discuss the issue.

Later that day, Georgia decided to check out one of the popular restaurants in town. When the mayor walked in to get his usual order to go, Georgia stood up and acted as if it were an accident that she had accidentally knocked over his food. She offered to pay for his lunch and eat with him. Paul discussed the cafe owner, Joe, who runs a farm where he exploits unpaid interns as workers in exchange for agricultural credit, and he makes excellent hummus. Georgia asked if she could help him and called herself a fast learner. While paying for the meal, her card was declined, so Paul paid and told her that he wasn't hiring.

Throughout the day, Georgia’s card kept getting declined, so she rang her lawyer Marty about her deceased husband Kenny’s money. She said it was hers and wants him to sort it out. Marty said that Kenny’s ex-wife believed that she used him for money.

After school, she lets her son punch Zach in the nose because he broke his glasses. Georgia then pretends Zach had a nosebleed and brings him to his mother.

Eventually, Georgia and Ellen hang out, with Ellen bringing Marcus' weed with her. Ellen reveals that her daughter Maxine is gay. This leads to Georgia mentioning that Austin’s father was in prison after she framed him. Ellen couldn’t tell if she was joking, and they laughed over this comment. The two mothers then head to the parents’ group meeting that the mayor chairs. Georgia introduced Joe to the room and told the parents that he owns a farm and will provide a healthy, locally grown, organic lunch option to the school district. However, Joe said that Georgia blackmailed him by reporting him for having unpaid interns work full-time if he disagreed.

After helping him out of a tight spot, the mayor was impressed with Georgia and asked her if she could start working for him.

Georgia freaks out, believing she has long hair on her chin; she asks Ginny to pluck it. She is freaking out since it’s her first day working with Mayor Paul.

At work, Paul discusses bringing a marijuana dispensary to town to generate profits, with the idea being that it would bring in funding to build a new library. Georgia offers to help Nick, Paul’s assistant, to see if they can get planning permission, but he suspects that she is trying to seduce Paul and subsequently dismisses her. Later, Georgia accuses Nick of also having a crush on Paul, and she responds in kind. She ends up telling him that she has a way of making herself malleable to make friends.

Later, Georgia comes to the rescue in the shoplifting debacle concerning her daughter after being called about the incident. She reckons Ginny is being singled out for being black, despite her other friends stealing as well. She accuses the store owner of racial profiling and then pays for the clothes. Georgia and Ginny go to a cafe afterwards, and Ginny tells her mother that she wants them to like her. Georgia wants her daughter to learn the value of money and asks Joe to give her a job.

During the weekend, Georgia takes her kids to the bowling club, and Paul “happens to be there”. She talks to him about planning for the dispensary. She makes it known that there are no electricity and AC problems, as Cynthia owns the building next door to the required location, so it cannot be much of a coincidence that Cynthia has pushed against it.

Georgia wants to cheer her daughter up and creates a living room dance party. The family dances together in the middle of the night, and spirits rise quickly. Ginny mentions how her mother has always been good at blending and hiding.

Georgia asks Nick to babysit Austin at work because she’s chaperoning the sleepover. Nick refuses, but Paul offers to babysit her son instead.

Once at the party, Ginny asks her mom to stay out of her way. Eventually, Georgia consoles Maxine, and the two enter one of the bathrooms. Georgia can cheer up Max, who eventually leaves. Georgia senses that someone is in the showers, but Georgia ends up getting distracted by Ginny. Unfortunately, they end up arguing, and Ginny calls her mother jealous because she never got to do social events like this.

Somewhere in town, Paul leads a fundraiser meeting and discusses an annual bake sale. Georgia stands up and suggests they do a casino night, but Cynthia disagrees. Surprisingly, Paul takes Cynthia’s side as it’s a highlight of the year at Wellsbury. As a result, Georgia finds herself competing with Cynthia. At the office, Paul raises a concern in front of an HR officer, revealing that he saw a credit card at Georgia's house under Austin’s name. Georgia puts on the waterworks and claims that Austin’s father, who is in jail, put out loads of credit cards under his son’s name.

The meeting is abruptly stopped due to “personal matters”. Paul apologizes due to the pressure of his political career. Georgia laps it up and brings up casino night again. When Cynthia walks in, Paul tells her that they will be doing the casino night instead.

When she eventually gets home from work, Georgia ends up walking in on Ginny posing without her top on and taking a picture of it.

The next day, Georgia arrives at school and takes Ginny away to the clinic to put her on the pill. Ginny asks her mother how she knows what to do with men. Georgia explains how she has children with two different guys, so she isn’t by any means perfect. She then calls her daughter beautiful.

In the end, Georgia successfully organizes the casino night, and Paul is impressed. She’s worried about how much they are making and wants to ensure they make more than the bake sale to spite Cynthia. Joe shows up, and Georgia kicks into action and auctions a meal at his farm, plus horse riding lessons. Georgia then auctions “Principal for the Day”, where one kid will lead the school temporarily for a single school day; she manages to sell it for $10,000. To end the auction, Georgia auctions Cynthia’s cheesecake and bids $100 as a verbal slap in the face to her nemesis.

Paul is thoroughly impressed with Georgia and her overall performance. Ellen then tells her a man is here who is interested in her house, which irks her. She feels like she is being followed.

When Georgia returns home after casino night, she introduces herself to Hunter. But once she goes upstairs, Georgia lifts her dress to reveal some of the money she stole from the fundraiser. She then rings Paul and tells him that she likes him. Paul asks Georgia if she’d like to go to dinner with him, and Georgia agrees.

Sometime during the night, Georgia gets out her gun on the balcony and kills a rabbit that was near her house.

Later, Ellen reminds Georgia that it’s Halloween, so she needs to decorate and go big for the spooky holiday, as all eyes are on her after casino night.

Georgia and Paul have their date at Joe’s cafe. The pair gets to know each other and discuss family and upbringing. Cynthia sees them, and she is shocked.

At the Halloween festival, Cynthia announces to the whole town that Paul was on a date with Georgia, who is working with him. Georgia thinks it’s a disaster and tells Ginny to take Austin home. Nick is mad at Georgia, as he will have to clean up the mess, but tells her that he wants all the juicy details of her date with Paul later.

Georgia then tells Paul that she thinks they should stop dating because she makes him vulnerable. Paul tells Georgia that he’s crazy about her, and they have sex in his office.

When Georgia returns home, much to her surprise, there are a couple of people in the living room. She eventually explains to Austin and Ginny, the woman and child in their house, are their cousin Caleb and their aunt Maddie. Ginny is furious with Georgia because her mother stated that she didn’t have any other family and that her parents died. Maddie laughs, stating that their parents are not dead, upsetting Georgia. Ginny is angry at her mother, but Georgia says they can stay the night to figure things out in the morning.

Georgia is called into school after Austin stabbed Cynthia’s son Zach with a pencil. Georgia is fully on board with the school's suggestions, including therapy, but she only agreed to it to appease the school. Georgia believes Austin’s behaviour is simply due to her sister and nephew arriving unannounced at their house. Ginny is furious and accuses her mother of being a liar.

Georgia catches up with her sister, but Ginny interrupts the conversation and tells Maddie that Georgia is dating a mayor before angrily leaving the house. Maddie tells Georgia that Ginny gets her anger from her. Maddie claims she came all this way because she missed her sister.

Eventually, Paul learns why Georgia has been off, once she explains that she didn’t want Paul to see her sister. Paul tells Georgia that she doesn’t need to hide things from him and that he’s fully committed to her.

While her sister sleeps, Georgia checks out her phone. She sees messages between someone named Cordova and Maddie. The two are exchanging information about Georgia’s ex-husband, Kenny. Georgia finds out that this Cordova person is giving Maddie money in exchange for information. Georgia researches Cordova, who turns out not only to be a private investigator, but also the same man that Nick is dating.

Georgia packs Maddie’s bags and tells her she’s leaving. Maddie calls her Mary in front of a curious Ginny and Austin. An angry Georgia tells Ginny, Austin, and Caleb to go upstairs, as she does not want them to know about her past. Georgia gives Maddie $10,000 cash, double what Cordova offered. Maddie tells Georgia she’d never rat her out regarding her life in New Orleans. Maddie said to Georgia that she thinks she is mad because she reminds her of her father, Ed, who abused Georgia. Georgia remained silent, seemingly conflicted by her words, with tears in her eyes. Maddie tells her that when Georgia ran away, her father, Ed, started “doing it to her,” which refers to the sexual abuse that Georgia experienced her entire childhood from him. Georgia holds in tears, appearing shocked and horrified, but takes a deep breath and tells Maddie to leave.

At home, Ginny discovers a secret stash under the floorboards, which turns out to be photos from Georgia's childhood. She also finds a Hell’s Angels jacket and a pistol. Georgia returns home and believes she has an intruder, so she draws out a second pistol. She points it at Ginny but lowers it when she sees it's just her daughter.

Ginny wants answers from her, but Georgia tells Ginny she is her family. Ginny calls her Mary, so Georgia immediately slaps her. Later on, Georgia apologizes for slapping her and admits to being afraid that if Ginny knew her past, she wouldn’t look at her the same way. Georgia then goes on to say that “the past needs to stay in the past”.

Georgia and Ginny remain at a crossroads following their confrontation the other day.

Despite Ginny still being angry with her, Georgia sings Happy Birthday to her daughter, who has just turned sixteen. Ginny queries whether, now that she’s 16, Georgia will treat her as an adult. She further asks if the two will share secrets, like the fact that Georgia’s real name is Mary. Instead of answering, Georgia plants the cake in Ginny’s face and says, “Happy Sweet Sixteen, Jerk”.

At Joe’s cafe, Ellen and Georgia have a few drinks. Georgia and Joe briefly talk about the other night when they had a slight moment. Maxine joins and asks Georgia how you know when you are in love. She gives Max her reasons to know. Also, Georgia and Maxine are arranging a secret party for Ginny. At home, Ginny is still mad and asks her mother for a real conversation, and storms off.

Nick comes over with his boyfriend Jesse, who is Gabriel Cordova, a private investigator looking into Georgia, for Ginny’s birthday party. Nick joins in for karaoke dressed in drag as an Avril Lavigne impersonator. In the kitchen, Georgia and Gabriel have a brief conversation; Georgia calls him Gabriel, which confuses him. She subtly lets him know that she knows he is a private investigator.

Georgia eventually goes to Ginny’s bedroom and sees that she and the other girls have snuck out to party at Maxine’s house. Angry, she reports a noise violation at Maxine’s and takes out a bottle of red wine. Later, when the police arrive, Paul tells Georgia that Ginny is being placed into a police car. But Georgia does nothing and tells her boyfriend that she is going to bed. Once she is in the comfort of her bedroom, she grabs one of her pillows and screams into it.

When Ginny returns home, Georgia tells her she cannot lie and that she’s furious with her. When Ginny confronts Georgia about being a professional at lying, Georgia insists that she keeps secrets to keep her safe. Still, it then goes on to reveal that she was abused by her stepdad her whole childhood and was molested most nights while her mother was asleep in the next room, which is why she ran away at 14. She then tells Ginny she has been homeless and in jail before as well.

Eventually, after that heart-to-heart conversation, I talked about Georgia's abuse and whether she is okay today. Georgia admitted to Ginny that "it" never leaves her, and it depends on the day how she is feeling. Georgia shared that when she thinks about the abuse she experienced, her insides cringe. Georgia shows Ginny a photo of her and her father, Zion, when they were younger. Georgia admits she needs to act like Ginny is growing up, and Ginny admits that she needs to mature. While eating doughnuts, Ginny tells Georgia that Hunter went down on her.

As Georgia leaves the room, she tells Ginny that they are broke because Kenny’s ex-wife contested the will.

The election for the city’s mayor position continues to heat up, now with Cynthia making personal attacks and focusing on Paul’s relationship with Georgia. She is fuming, believing they need to make a personal attack in return, but Paul wants a more mature approach.

Zion shows up in town, building a fence for Georgia's garden while she is away. Zion surprised Ginny at school and drove her home on his bike. Georgia and Austin were waiting at home for their arrival, Georgia wearing a flowy dress to impress Zion. Zion gives Ginny and Austin gifts from his travels, while Georgia sits across from them, drinking wine. Ginny and Austin go upstairs to grab blankets for a fort, while Georgia and Zion talk, and tension spikes.

When Georgia gets to work, she tells Paul that Zion is staying over. Paul tells Georgia that he trusts her, and he wants to have dinner with all of them. Thus, the aforementioned dinner takes place on the same day, and Ginny and Georgia feel the awkward tension immediately, giving each other “the look.” However, Paul and Zion eventually seem to get along well enough. Also, Zion reveals he has a book deal, which surprises Georgia, and she congratulates him.

When Zion and Ginny return home, they feel the wrath of Georgia, who has learned information she did not want to know. Georgia confronts Ginny after she saw Marcus sneaking in through the window, explaining it through a slam poetry format and comically calling it “Motherhood.” Ginny is in shock and states that they are just friends, but Georgia doesn’t buy it. Which eventually leads Ginny to call her the worst mother in the world and storm off.

On the news, Norah’s mother reveals that there are guns in Georgia’s house for Cynthia.

Paul eventually heads over to Georgia’s house and explains that he is pro-gun control and that she cannot attend the fundraiser due to the news revelation. He asks her not to keep things from him and storms out. Afterwards, Zion lurks in the corner and tells Georgia that she’s capable of anything. The pair hook up and sleep together in a moment of passion.

The next morning, Georgia tells Ginny that Marcus is having a CAT scan but will be okay after his accident the night before.

At work, Paul apologizes for storming out on her the other night. She tells him that they are great.

Later, Georgia picks Ginny up from work, and they both sigh as they enter the car. They both discuss their complicated relationships with men. Ginny tells Georgia not to let their father blow up their lives. Georgia calls her moment with Zion a momentary lapse. When they get home, Zion is cooking for the family and Ellen’s family. He tells Georgia that they could work now, as they are adults.

Georgia presses Zion about his staying after he made that statement at the dinner table earlier. He tells her that he can provide for the family and that he wants to settle down. Zion feels Georgia is the only place that feels like home. He asks her if he can “come home".

At work, Georgia wants Paul to take the initiative, rally the team, plant trees, and paint fences, among other tasks. She thinks they should show Wellsbury that they have a mayor who cares and acts. Paul loves the idea, but then asks how long Zion will be staying in town. “He never stays long” is her awkward response.

Georgia continues to run the campaign, all while Zion takes photos and sees how much she cares about the campaign and the mayor as well.

After the campaign, Georgia speaks to Paul about Zion wanting to stay and give it a try. She apologizes and states she slept with him. Paul is irritated that she gave in to unresolved feelings and that all she has is his story, and that he is not the future, just the past. It seems like he knew that Georgia would sleep with Zion. Paul valiantly tells Georgia that they are cut from the same cloth and that they want power together. He tells her to choose either him or Zion. Paul plonks an engagement ring on the table and states that he bought it after their date because he knew a woman like her only comes around once in a lifetime, telling her that he sees her.

When Georgia gets home, Zion has packed his bags, and she is dismayed. Zion believes that Georgia wants Wellsbury, not him. He tries touching her face, but she’s too upset. Zion wants her to get everything she wants, and he kisses her on the forehead. He leaves her sobbing in her house. Georgia continues to cry, hearing Zion's motorbike drive away; however, she finally manages to contain herself and looks at the ring given to her by Paul, putting it on.

Georgia discusses how women often live in a man’s world. Therefore, women will always be moving forward from a backward step. She wonders how one climbs the ladders of a rigged system, and she has one solution: adapt.

Later, Paul and Georgia take a family picture, and Ginny and Austin join in as well. The two continue to prepare for the final days of the election campaign. They are also now promoting their engagement.

Meanwhile, the private investigator arrives, which causes Georgia to zone out.

Cynthia eventually turns up and wants to talk to Nick and Paul. She tries accusing Georgia of embezzlement, but Nick says that the books are balanced. Georgia acts innocently and states she only goes to the bank like everyone else. Cynthia looks crazy in front of everyone else. Paul apologizes to her for what happened. However, Nick approaches Georgia privately and tells her that the exact amount to balance the books was only deposited that morning, and he knows something is wrong.

At Joe’s cafe, Georgia walks in, and Joe is very nervous around her after learning that the two of them met years earlier as teenagers. He wants to tell her something, but Ellen walks in and asks Georgia to show her the engagement ring. Joe congratulates her on the ring and walks off, upset.

Eventually, Ellen heads over to Georgia’s house and tells her she quits being a mother. They drink wine together. Ellen tells Georgia that her son has been sleeping with her daughter. Georgia states that he knew that Marcus had climbed through her window a few days ago. Ellen is annoyed that she wasn’t told and leaves, calling her a “bad mom”.

Georgia speaks to Ginny about having sex with Marcus. Ginny makes a sly comment saying her mother goes through men faster than Taylor Swift, but then she admits it’s all her fault. Georgia doesn’t understand why the two of them were sneaking around. Ginny then lists how she’s “awful, a bitch and a liar”, but she asks whom she learned it from. Ginny brings up Zion and then reveals to her mother that she sent the letters from Austin to his father.

Georgia asks if she put a return address on and explains the reason she doesn’t tell her anything is that she doesn’t know who her daughter is anymore. Ginny tells her she’s her mother.

At the Mayoral election, Paul is re-elected. The private investigator stands next to Georgia. She tells him that Kenny is looking down on her right now. The PI asks where the body is, but then the fireworks go off. Georgia hints that Kenny is ashes before walking off.

Georgia then narrates that she's starting to feel like Ginny is turning into her, and it’s unsettling. However, she says there’s a significant difference because she started life significantly behind her daughter. The PI receives a call and learns that Georgia was previously married to a man named Anthony Greene before marrying Kenny, and that he’s a missing person.

Season 2[]

When Georgia returns home from the Mayoral election, she figures out Ginny and Austin left after seeing that the house was empty, and the flowers she used on Kenny’s milkshake were put in the fireplace, indicating Ginny knows about what she’s done. Georgia starts panicking and tearing up, and throws a fire iron against the wall.

While staying at Zion’s place, Ginny has a nightmare about Georgia coming to her room, starting a conversation with her, and eventually killing her with a pillow.

Two weeks later, Georgia and Paul are at her house for Thanksgiving. Georgia insists she doesn’t miss her kids and likes the peace their absence brings her, but Paul convinces her she does, to which Georgia stubbornly claims she doesn’t. The only reason she was walking around their rooms and looking through their stuff, she claims, was to find a t-shirt. Georgia also admits to being nervous about meeting Paul’s parents that Thanksgiving night.

Georgia comes to pick up something at Blue Farm, where she has a brief conversation with Joe, until Cynthia, who looks sad and unkempt due to the situation with her husband, walks in. Joe tells Georgia to be kind, to which Georgia responds that she looked better when her husband was dying.

Georgia and Paul visit Paul’s parents that evening, and during the Thanksgiving dinner, Paul’s parents and brother ask Georgia about herself. They become concerned when Georgia mentions having two children from different fathers, and are even more put off when she reveals that the children aren’t spending Thanksgiving with their mother.

After dinner, Georgia overhears Paul’s parents telling him that she is not the woman for him, mainly because of the situation with her kids. Paul stands up against his parents; however, Georgia is saddened by hearing Paul’s dad tell him she’s the kind of woman to have fun with, not to marry. Despite this, Georgia pretends to have heard nothing and kindly tells his parents goodbye.

Upon returning home, Georgia immediately calls Zion, who tells her about the kids missing her and his parents sending their love to her, which surprises Georgia and prompts her to act sarcastically. Georgia becomes emotional talking with Zion, sharing how Ginny and Austin ran away, just as she had when she was young. Zion corrected her and said that this was nothing like how Georgia ran away, alluding to the fact that Georgia had to flee from her abusive stepfather. Zion brings up Austin talking about Fry-day, and Georgia gets excited. Zion proposes that she organize Fry-day, the day after, to simultaneously reunite with her kids, to which Georgia eventually agrees. After the phone call, Georgia talks with Paul about the conversation with Zion and about Fry-day.

The next day, Zion brings Ginny and Austin home. Georgia is first reunited with Austin, who is initially reluctant, but with tickles and jokes from Georgia, Austin shows his happiness at seeing his mother again. Ellen brings Ginny back to Georgia’s house after catching her in Marcus’ garage, and they quickly reunite. Georgia comments that she was unaware Ginny had taken Marcus's motorbike to drive to Zion's. Ginny said that she and Austin wore helmets; however, Georgia still appeared concerned about their safety. Georgia sarcastically commented on the jacket Ginny was wearing, which was Georgia's own leather Blood Eyes jacket, from her days as a teenager in the biker gang.

When Georgia mentions that Ginny is very quiet and has been staring at her dad the whole time, Georgia becomes suspicious and asks Ginny to talk to her in the kitchen. Ginny asks Georgia if she can live with Zion, to which Georgia disagrees. Zion almost decides to step in, but because Ginny doesn’t want Zion to reveal the truth about Ginny’s self-harm, she eventually gives in and decides to live with Georgia after all, albeit reluctantly. Georgia angrily stares Ginny down as she walks up the stairs.

Georgia wakes Ginny up and talks with Paul about him moving into her place. Paul is reluctant at first, but Georgia insists, and Paul agrees.

Later on, Georgia tells Ginny, who’s brushing her teeth, that she bought that new charcoal toothpaste she likes, and also asks her how she likes it. When she realizes Ginny isn’t answering her, she tells her suddenly that Paul is moving in, to which Ginny sarcastically congratulates him.

Later that day, when Ginny comes home and still refuses to speak to Georgia and refuses to eat, Georgia gets upset with Ginny and decides to throw all the food away to spite her. The following day, when Ginny notices that all the food is gone, she confronts Georgia about it. Georgia responds that if Ginny wants to eat, she should work, and that because Georgia has work, she gets to eat. Ginny responds that she does have a job, but Georgia tells her to fix her job situation at Blue Farm. Ginny walks off and remarks that hopefully, Georgia left some food for Austin.

When Georgia goes downstairs and sees Paul, she notices Ginny making him breakfast. When she looks closely, however, she notices that the milkshake she made looks similar to the one Georgia herself made when she killed Kenny, and for a few seconds, she’s in complete shock.

After Ginny found out Georgia used Ginny and Austin’s names for her credit cards and gave them a negative credit score, Ginny decides to buy Austin a really expensive gift. Georgia is shocked by this and later confronts Ginny in her room, claiming that she only did that because it was necessary, as the family almost lost everything. She also says that Ginny thinks she’s so cool, but that she’s playing with fire. After Ginny tells Georgia she’s not scared of her, Georgia remarks that she’s scared of Ginny, since she can’t be trusted.

Later, she goes over to Cynthia's to pick up Austin from a playdate with Zach and talks with Cynthia about the neighborhood club and the situation regarding Cynthia’s husband, who is manipulating her.

When Ginny gets home, Georgia confronts her next to Paul about her absence from school that day. When Ginny decides she wants to have a certain conversation, Georgia notices what she’s trying to do and tells her to go to her room immediately. But Ginny tells her that Paul should know, and that ‘we’re all such a happy family: you, me, Paul, Austin, Mary’. As soon as Georgia hears the name Mary, she starts panicking; when Paul asks who Mary is, Georgia storms off to her car, where she proceeds to have a panic attack.

When Ginny walks past the car and notices Georgia is inside it, she enters it and bluntly asks Georgia why she killed Kenny. Georgia decides to explain everything, from the murder to her past and her concerns. Georgia tells her that what Kenny did to Ginny reminded her of what Georgia’s stepfather did to her, and she only wished her mother had stepped in. She tells Ginny about how, when she figured out she was pregnant, she knew everything had to change, how she didn’t want Ginny and Austin to suffer like she did, and how she doesn’t regret anything she did, claiming Ginny and Austin are her future. Austin eventually joins in the car, and they have a little family moment.

When Georgia enters Ginny’s room, she notices an open window. She immediately concludes Marcus has been climbing into her room again and asks him if he’s hiding in the closet, to which Marcus admits. Georgia asks him to get dressed and come out, and greets him while he sits with a cigarette. She proceeds to ask him about their relationship, telling him to let Ginny go when he has to, and warns him not to get her pregnant. Ginny catches them later, and Marcus decides to leave. Ginny sarcastically compliments Georgia’s parenting.

Georgia gets to throw a party for her initiation at the neighborhood club. As a result, she’s busy planning it, asking her family about a theme, and also asking Ginny and Austin to stay at Zion’s place that evening.

Georgia asks Ginny if she wants to be her maid of honor at the wedding, admitting that she’s her best friend, to which Ginny agrees.

When Georgia has a little dancing moment with the family, she notices Ginny leaving and immediately alerts Ellen, with whom she has made up about what happened before. She’s aware that Ginny is going to Marcus, so she texts Ellen, who interrupts the two.

On the evening of the party, Ginny decides to throw a house party with all of her friends, but it isn’t long until Georgia and Paul find out and break off the party. Paul lectures Ginny about the dangers and her lack of responsibility, whereas Georgia expresses relief, much to Paul’s confusion. Georgia expresses relief because she’s happy Ginny is being a normal teenager, throwing house parties.

For Christmas, Georgia decides she wants to throw a big dinner, inviting not only Paul’s family but also Zion’s family, with whom she hasn’t seen in a while and is rather nervous about. Georgia decides to do some Christmas shopping along with Ginny (with whom she is still hesitant to speak to, after hearing Ginny’s poem the night prior) in Boston.

While in Boston, Ginny and Georgia decide to visit Zion at his new apartment, and to their surprise, catch Zion on a date with another woman, Simone. Georgia introduces herself to Simone and calls her "pretty," and quickly asks Zion if she’s coming to their Christmas dinner, inviting her parents as well.

While preparing dinner, Ginny offers Georgia some help while she’s cooking. Still, Georgia accidentally drops a pan full of potatoes while walking off and expresses to Ginny how nervous she is about meeting Paul’s parents and Zion’s parents again.

At dinner, Zion’s parents immediately discuss Ginny and her future education, and Lynette also acknowledges that this Christmas will be her last since Kenny’s death, which shocks Paul’s parents, as they weren’t even aware of Georgia’s marriage to Kenny. After asking if he was Austin’s dad, Georgia says no and explains that Austin’s dad was Gil, to which Lynette quickly interrupts and claims he is incarcerated. They proceed to discuss Ginny and Austin’s future education and Zion’s new girlfriend, Simone. When Georgia is asked if she went to college, before she can answer, Lynette sternly says she never attended college. Georgia has visibly had enough, and berates Lynette for it seeming like she is ‘writing her biography’, and tells her to look around and realizes that despite the hardships Georgia managed to live in Wellsbury and properly take care of Ginny, to which Lynette responds that it didn’t have to be so hard because Zion’s parents offered her everything to help, but Georgia didn’t take it. In response, Lynette also claims that Ginny could have had a very good life. Georgia gets upset and leaves the table.

When Ginny walks over to the kitchen to comfort her, and Zion and Paul later follow, Georgia expresses that she’s sad, mostly because Lynette was right. She decides to take some fresh air and leaves the house.

Georgia stops by Blue Farm, where she sees Joe still working alone. She asks him if he doesn’t have plans this Christmas evening, and also tells him about the disastrous Christmas dinner she just got back from. Eventually, Georgia hugs Joe and tells him she never feels judged by him, and goes back home to Paul later to talk about everything that happened that night.

The next day, on Christmas morning, Georgia, Paul, Ginny, and Austin share a family moment as they watch the kids open their gifts. Georgia also receives a nice gift from Paul, namely, his arranging Georgia’s dream location for the wedding. When Georgia notices Austin doing a trick similar to the tricks his father, Gil, always used to do, she gets visibly worried. The bell rings a little later, and when Georgia opens the door, to her shock, she notices it’s Gil, who recently got released from prison.

Georgia lets Gil in, and both Austin and Ginny are happy to see him and receive gifts from him. Georgia reluctantly accepts a gift from him, which is a heart-shaped necklace. The gift appears to be the same necklace that Gil gave to Georgia when they were a couple and Ginny was 4 or 5 years old, at their apartment in Austin, Texas. Paul appears not to be fond of his presence. When Paul and Austin leave and Ginny goes upstairs, Georgia and Gil share a conversation in which Gil tries to convince her that he has changed, to which Georgia responds, ‘Good, you had to.’ She closes the door on him, visibly in shock and breathing heavily.

Georgia notices a notebook hanging out of Ginny’s bag and decides to read it. She finds out while reading it that Ginny has been self-harming by taking a lighter and burning herself, and is absolutely devastated at this news. She calls Zion and urges him that they need to help her, but gets mad when she finds out Zion knew all along and didn’t tell her. Georgia decides to go to Ginny and confront her about it. Ginny initially dismissed it, but eventually gives in and admits to Georgia that she’s been self-harming, and shows her her scars. Georgia is very upset at this and comforts her, claiming she’s sorry. Ginny apologizes for ruining Christmas, but Georgia claims Christmas was already ruined way before, and claims this is just ‘A Very Merry Ginny and Georgia Christmas Special’.

Georgia is spending quality time with Ginny, watching TV and eating whipped cream together, just as they used to when they were young.

Georgia goes over to Zion and angrily berates him for keeping Ginny’s self-harm secret from her. Zion agrees and apologizes, claiming he helped Ginny by getting her a therapist.

Gil is seen visiting Austin, and he talks with Georgia, seemingly expressing interest in her and admitting he’s still attracted to her, but Georgia is not interested. Gil asks Georgia if he can take Austin to a hockey game, to which Georgia refuses.

Later, after picking up Austin from school, Georgia is surprised by Gil, who decides to pick up Austin as well. Georgia is annoyed by his decision to come pick him up himself. Still, after Gil asks Georgia again if he can take him to a hockey game in front of everyone, Georgia lets him, largely because the other moms are admiring Gil’s parenting, much to Georgia's annoyance.

Gil brings Austin back home later that day and ends up reuniting with Zion and Paul, leading Georgia, along with Ginny and Austin, to stand in the hallway with all her exes. She later confronts Ginny about this in a humorous way, and they engage in a conversation about it.

Ginny and her friends decide to throw a bachelor's party for Georgia at Blue Farm, despite Georgia initially not wanting one. Despite this, she attends it anyway and has a good time, along with Ginny, Ginny’s friends, Ellen, and Joe.

Upon returning home, Georgia notices Austin’s watch is gone, and starts panicking because that watch was supposed to track Austin’s whereabouts. She is scared Gil might have kidnapped him, but shortly afterwards, Gil returns Austin home after taking him to another hockey game. Georgia is thankful Gil brought him back, but is suspicious of his motives.

Georgia is alone in her room, grabbing a gun from under her dresser, and aiming it. Afterwards, she puts the gun away and leaves her room.

Georgia brings Austin to school, where she is again met with Gil, who asks her if he can take Austin to another game that night. Georgia refuses, and as a result, Gil chases her and threatens her. Cynthia notices this and gets concerned. She breaks up the moment by interrupting and telling Georgia to come with her.

During a playdate with Zach and Austin, Georgia decides to have a conversation with Cynthia about Cynthia's relationship with Joe, how Cynthia is coping with the situation surrounding her husband, and Georgia discusses Gil, among other topics, as they generally talk about their lives. Cynthia tells Georgia that she’s arranged something with her real estate company, making it so that Gil can’t find a residence in Wellsbury. Georgia is very grateful for this, and after Cynthia walks upstairs to look for Zach, Georgia decides to go to her husband Tom’s room, where he is still on life support, and decides to mercy kill him by putting a pillow on him, causing him to die by asphyxiation.

Georgia and Austin return home, and Austin is very upset, immediately going upstairs. Right after that, Joe visits Georgia and gives her the Ray-Bans he originally gave her when they were teenagers, and finally admits that he remembers the moment he gave them, and Georgia does too. Despite this, Joe is saddened and confused by Georgia’s motives, and Georgia tells him she’s in a relationship with Paul, and they end the conversation. Georgia goes to her room and lies down on her bed, clearly affected and upset about murdering Tom and the conversation she just had with Joe. Eventually, Ginny enters her room crying because of her breakup with Marcus, and Georgia comforts her.

Georgia goes downstairs, assuming Paul just got home. But as soon as she enters the hallway, she is again met with Gil, who has just found out about the deal she made with Cynthia and is furious at her. He shoves her aggressively through the room, slamming her into the kitchen table, knocking the vase over, and it smashing to the ground. Georgia immediately warns Gil that the kids are upstairs, concerned that they will hear; however, this doesn’t stop Gil from hitting and shoving Georgia, and eventually throwing her into the plant wall, her falling to the floor. Ginny and Austin hear Georgia's grunts in pain, run downstairs, and as soon as Austin notices what his dad has done, he shoots Gil in his arm with the gun he found earlier under Georgia’s dresser. Georgia immediately stands up, brushing herself off and running to take over the gun from him. She asks both Ginny and Austin if they’re okay, then asks Gil if he is calm, and orders Ginny and Austin to get cleaning supplies and her sewing kit. Georgia stitches Gil's flesh wound in the kitchen, while Ginny cleans up the broken glass and Austin draws a picture to cover the bullet hole in the wall, before Paul gets home. When Paul gets home, he doesn’t notice anything has happened. Georgia asks the kids to go upstairs and quickly talks to Paul.

Georgia goes upstairs to Ginny and Austin and asks them if they’re okay. Georgia explains that she kept Gil’s abuse hidden from them when they were young, that despite his dislike of Georgia, he’s still trying to be a good father to Austin. Georgia tells the kids that she loves them, but that she can take care of herself and will always protect them.

Later that night, a devastated Georgia goes downstairs and calls the wedding location to inform them that she’s calling off the wedding. This is presumably due to Gil’s presence making Wellsbury no longer a safe place for her, and yet again, feeling a need to move and start over with her family. She gets back in bed with Paul, softly crying in his arms.

When Georgia brings Austin to school, Gil approaches them. Austin doesn’t want to talk to his father and still seems shocked after what happened the previous night. When Austin enters the class, Gil threatens that if Georgia does anything to keep Austin away from him anymore, he’ll make her life a living hell.

Georgia goes to Ginny’s room and asks her what she thinks about Lake Powell, to which Ginny responds indifferently, seeing as she’s still heartbroken over her breakup with Marcus. Max later enters the room and encourages Ginny to come hang out with her and MANG to cheer her up. As soon as Ginny and Max leave, Georgia starts packing up Ginny’s stuff, planning on moving.

Georgia goes over to Ellen and talks about how happy she is to have met her, presumably to say goodbye. After leaving her house, she encounters Marcus, to whom she apologizes for being so harsh earlier and thanks him for being so good to Ginny. Marcus tells her that she can trust him to keep her secret, the secret being that she killed Kenny, which shocks Georgia.

When Ginny expresses her gratitude for meeting her friends, she starts realizing that when Georgia mentioned Lake Powell earlier that evening, she was hinting at another move, and rushes home to convince her mom not to move again. Georgia is sorry, but feels she has no other choice, but Ginny convinces her that if she tells Paul about everything, especially her past, she can figure it out.

Georgia decides to come clean to Paul later that night and tells him everything from her past, including the situation with Gil, and explains why she didn't want to share all of this with him initially, as she was deeply in love with him. Paul is angered and walks off, leaving Georgia saddened.

Georgia wakes up the next day, still in the same clothes from the previous day, and with Ginny and Austin lying in bed with her. She receives a text message from Paul. Ginny tells her not to go, worried that Paul might get her arrested, but Georgia insists on going. Once there, to her surprise, Paul has made an arrangement that prevents Gil from bothering or contacting her without her permission, which angers Gil but is relieving for Georgia. Paul also insists on marrying Georgia.

Georgia is excited and goes home, telling Ginny that Paul still wants to marry her. She then realizes that she had already canceled the location where the wedding was supposed to take place and forgot to tell Paul. Ginny, however, improvises and finds a new location so that the wedding can still take place on the same day.

Ginny picks Georgia up on a white horse, which she called ‘Milkshake’, which was Georgia’s dream growing up. The wedding takes place a little later, with Georgia wearing a blue dress, walking down the aisle whilst ‘Until I Found You’ plays in the background. As she walks down the aisle, she’s greeted by Zion, who has decided to attend with his girlfriend, Simone. Ginny is her maid of honor. Paul’s parents, Ellen, Max, and Austin, are also at the wedding, among various other guests. The pair says yes, and they officially get married. The exact date of their wedding is unknown; however, it is believed to have taken place in March 2021.

After the main ceremony, Georgia wonders why Nick isn’t at the wedding, but is later seen celebrating. A little later, Georgia slow dances with Paul, with Ginny happily watching them. But at that moment, the police show up at the wedding, and Georgia gets arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller, Cynthia’s husband. She gets taken by the cops and walked to the police car, everyone watching her in shock. She steps into the police car and gets driven away. Austin tries to chase the police car, expressing guilt about the situation.

The season ends with Georgia being taken into custody and having her mugshot taken while still wearing her wedding dress.

Season 3[]

Georgia is held in jail for the weekend following her wedding. She can meet with her attorney and Paul briefly. Her arraignment is held Monday morning, and she is released on bond and placed on house arrest pending the trial of the murder of Tom Fuller. She admits to Ginny that she is guilty. Ellen brings over a gift basket to help her stay busy while on house arrest. Georgia asks if Ellen wants to know if she did it. Ellen explains that Marcus lost a friend to cancer, and she'd understand if someone put him out of his suffering. Georgia tells her she didn't do it.

Georgia spends her first day on house arrest trying to remain busy with the basket of items Ellen brought over. While using the bird-watching binoculars to watch her neighbors, Cynthia pulls up to her house. She knocks on the door and asks Georgia why she would kill Tom, her husband, when he was already dying. Georgia remains firm that she didn't do it, but says if someone did, it would have been a favor to her. Cynthia disagrees angrily and says Georgia robbed him of his dignity and his last moments. Georgia slams the door in her face. Cynthia calls her a murderer and says everyone is going to know it. Georgia quietly cries and says to herself she's sorry and just wanted to help.

Georgia talks with her lawyer and gives him her "story" of what happened. She says she was sitting in the kitchen, Cynthia went upstairs, and Georgia heard choking. She said she went into Tom's room, and Tom had somehow rolled himself onto his pillow, suffocating himself. Georgia tried to help him, but he was already dead. Her lawyer suggests that Cynthia has a motive and finances for murdering her husband.

Zion's family comes into town and invites themselves to have dinner at the Miller/Randolph household. A fight breaks out when Lynette, Zion's mom, says no one is taking the charge seriously, and she wants to take Ginny. Ginny runs out of the house, and Georgia runs after her. Ginny says she needs space from Georgia, and while Georgia tries to keep following her down the street, her ankle monitor alerts her she can't go any further.

As Ginny's school dance approaches, Georgia is saddened that she can't leave the house to go dress shopping. As a result, Lynette ends up taking Ginny shopping and invites Zion's girlfriend, Simone, to join them. When Ginny returns home, Georgia asks if Gram (Lynette) got her a dress, and Ginny confirms that she did. As Ginny is leaving for the dance, Georgia turns to Lynette and says she can't believe she picked out the dress. Lynette says she didn't; Simone did. Georgia looks betrayed.

Georgia confronts Lynette. It states that the only reason she invited Simone to go shopping was so Ginny could get used to her new life with her new mommy when Georgia is locked away. Lynette tells her they're on the same team and they always have been. They have a heart-to-heart with tears and an embrace.

At the dance, Ginny misses her mom. She video calls her to tell her she loves her, and she needs her in her life for all her dances. Georgia assures Ginny she's not going anywhere. Georgia resumes watching her movie, looking optimistic about her relationship with Ginny. Shortly after, Paul returns home after learning the truth about Georgia from Nick, who learned it from Gabriel (Jesse). He doesn't reveal what he knows, but is visibly upset. The next morning, he leaves without talking to Georgia.

Georgia meets with her attorney and reviews the information thus far on her case. He says Cynthia requested an autopsy, and Georgia asks why if they knew he was dying. She sees that Gabriel is on Cynthia's witness list and realizes he is behind it. Her attorney tells her to focus on her outfit, and he will handle the rest.

Later, Georgia practices her court speech in the mirror, and Paul comes in upset after a town council meeting. Due to the nature of her case, he is no longer able to make decisions as mayor. The town is wanting to vote on bringing chain businesses to town, and it's now going to a vote. Georgia still doesn't know what he knows about her past. Georgia says everything is falling apart without her. She comes up with an idea called Lawnfest, where they celebrate the small businesses that make Wellsbury special. Each house in the neighborhood will sponsor a small business. Nick and Paul agree it's a good idea, although Nick insists it's her way of saving face.

At home, Georgia starts to realize Paul is shutting her out. When Ginny notices, Georgia says work is stressing him out. Meanwhile, Blue Farm Cafe gets paired with the Miller/Randolph household for Lawnfest.

After Austin has an outburst at school, Ginny has to stand in as his guardian for his incident meeting. Austin tells Georgia that he just wanted to be suspended so he could spend time with her at home. He is duplicating the actions of Marcus after he was suspended for vandalizing a classroom during the school dance. Austin ends up getting a warning due to the nature of what's happening at home.

Lawnfest happens, and it's obvious Georgia chose Blue Farm Cafe as their small business so she could talk to Joe. However, Joe ends up sending Padma and Hunter to run the table so he can stay behind at the restaurant. Georgia sees some of the moms talking about her ankle monitor and goes over to them to chat. Georgia tells them her attorney thinks she is being accused as a political stunt against Paul. Joe shows up at the end of the event to take down the table, and Georgia confronts him for avoiding her. She says Joe doesn't care about her, and Joe tells her that he has feelings for her, but it's too hard to be her friend.

After the event, Georgia tells Paul the event was a success and asks if they're good. They sleep together.

The next day is jury selection. Georgia vetoes a lot of the potential juror members.

The first day of the trial happens, and the first witness is Gabriel. He says the court is dealing with a serial killer. Georgia's attorney motions to strike from the record any information that occurred before the case, as it does not pertain to this case. Paul is in the audience and refuses to look at Georgia. She still does not know what Nick told her. Gabrielis was granted permission by the judge to continue with his testimony. While on the stand, he discusses what he found during his investigation as a private investigator hired to investigate Georgia. Gabriel reveals Kenny's death was suspicious and that his body was dug up when they went to run a toxicology report. Georgia's attorney continues to try to get the judge to stop the testimony, arguing that it is not relevant, but the judge allows it to proceed. Gabriel reveals that Georgia's first husband, Anthony, is a missing person. He says she will continue to kill if the court does not stop her. It's insinuated she would go after Paul, considering the pattern of her past.

Following the day in court, Georgia tells Paul that everything Gabriel said on the stand was a lie. Her attorney says they will take the angle that Gabriel is obsessed with Georgia. Paul does not go home.

The town starts to talk now that it is revealed she has two late husbands. Neighbors are talking, and Ginny's friends are speculating, wondering if Georgia is guilty. Georgia lies in bed with Ginny, and they discuss that no one has reached out to Ginny. Georgia tries calling Paul, who is drunk at the Blue Farm Cafe, and doesn't answer. Paul tells Joe he can't go home because his wife is a murderer. Paul is taken to his office by Joe to sleep. Joe calls Georgia to tell her where Paul is, and reveals to Georgia that the court was live-streamed on TV for the entire town to see.

Zion comes to see Georgia and asks if she was married to Anthony and if she killed him. She asks if he thinks she's capable of that, and he says he saw her shoot her stepdad in the hand, cold-blooded. He asks what's going on and asks how he didn't know his daughter had a stepdad in New Orleans. Paul comes home and says he's going to be staying with his parents. Georgia tells him not to believe what Gabriel said and that he has it out for her. She tells Paul she told him everything, and he doubts her. Georgia asks if he will still be showing up to support her in cour,t and Paul asks if that's all she cares about. Georgia tells him to leave, and he does.

Ginny goes to Zion’s house while he questions her about their past. He asks if Kenny hurt her, and tells her she cannot go back to Georgia’s house. Ginny says too much and implies Georgia murdered Kenny. Georgia calls Ginny and tells her everything is on TV. Ginny goes back to Georgia’s house and watches the news coverage with Georgia and Austin as they call her a serial killer and a murdereress.

The next day, the courtroom is packed with the press. Paul and Zion don’t come. Gabriel is still on the stand, and Georgia’s attorney brings up that he had a fake relationship with Nick for 6 months to investigate. The attorney then insinuates that Gabriel is a liar to try to downplay his testimony. He asks if Gabriel has any actual evidence about Kenny and Anthony. Gabriel has nothing to say. The judge rules that Gabriel’s testimony is admissible, and he dismisses any allegations about Georgia’s past from being used in court.

Georgia returns home to a street lined with reporters. When she returns, Paul is home and tells the press to get off the lawn. Georgia asks if he’s still leaving with the new court ruling. He leaves.

A TikTok of Ginny’s poem from open mic night about Georgia then goes viral. Georgia tries to comfort Ginny as she leaves school early due to being uncomfortable and comes home to self-harm.

A social worker arrives with the police and reports that they have received a complaint about Austin and Ginny’s well-being, and they’re being removed from the home. It’s revealed that Gil and Zion filed the report and are taking their respective child to their home. Georgia fights, and they physically remove both kids. Georgia collapses on the front lawn in tears as the press captures the moment the kids leave.

As Georgia sits down to watch TV, someone throws a brick through her window with “MURDERER” written on it.

Georgia calls Zion to talk to Ginny and realizes she’s not there; Zion has no idea where she is. Georgia tracks Ginny on her phone and tells Zion her location. She says everyone thinks she’s unfit to be a mother, but one week with him, and he has no idea where she is.

Georgia continues to read hateful comments about her online. She gets drunk and calls Ginny, against court orders, at 3 am to talk. Ginny tells her she’s concerned the court might try to use the phone call against her, and Georgia says it can’t get any worse. Ginny tells her it could hurt her case and hangs up after telling her she loves her. Georgia calls Ginny again, and Ginny blocks her phone number.

The next day in court, Nick takes the stand and says that Georgia called him the night Tom Fuller died. He testifies that Georgia said Tom went peacefully and that Georgia was with him when he died.

Georgia calls Paul and asks if he knew that Nick was going to testify. She asks if Paul will be coming to court the following day. She reminds him that she’s still his wife.

Zion calls Georgia and asks if she knows where Ginny is after she ran out following an argument. Ginny told Zion about Gil abusing Georgia and said it’s his fault that Austin is now living with an abuser. Georgia tells Zion she hasn’t heard from Ginny because of him. Zion apologizes to Georgia for not knowing about the abuse.

Marcus comes over to talk to Georgia. He welcomes her back to the depression club. She asks Marcus if he thinks her kids are better off without her. He tells her they need her. Georgia asks if Ellen, Marcus’s mom, no longer likes her. He doesn’t answer. Marcus attempts to fix the shattered window. Georgia asks Marcus to borrow his phone, saying hers is dead. She uses it to call Ginny, who is hooking up with her new love interest, Wolfe, at a party. Ginny doesn't answer, but later sees the missed call and thinks Marcus called her.

The following day in court, Cynthia takes the stand. She testifies that Gabrieltold her to get an autopsy, and that’s how she found out Tom died from suffocation. She says no one besides herself, Georgia, and their two sons were in the house at the time he died. Georgia’s attorney questions Cynthia on her finances to insinuate that she murdered him because hospice was expensive and they were draining their savings. Cynthia repeats what Georgia said about how if Tom were murdered, it would’ve been someone doing him a favor. The news continues to report on Ginny and Austin being taken by CPS and Paul not being in court.

Following the day in court, Georgia gets a call from New Mexico penitentiary from an inmate named Shane Reilly, her biological father, who is in prison for murder. She is stunned when she hears the name and does not accept the call.

Georgia gets a supervised visit with Ginny and Austin. She asks Austin if Gil is being nice. Austin tells her he wants to come home. Georgia asks if she’s allowed to hug them, and the social worker gives her permission. Ginny and Austin return to their respective fathers’ homes.

The trial goes on for five weeks. Georgia remains under house arrest with no custody of her kids.

Georgia calls Ginny’s therapist, Dr. Lily, and tells her she has no hope left and wants to go to therapy. Dr. Lily says she can’t be her therapist because she is Ginny’s. She asks Dr. Lily if she’s a monster. Dr. Lily helps her for this occasion, but tells her she needs to find her therapist.

Joe asks Georgia why she hasn’t told anyone about him and Cynthia’s affair, because it would make him a prime suspect. She says she would never do that to him.

Georgia meets with her attorney, who tells her that the news is reporting that she has no support in court, particularly from her husband. He says it looks bad that Paul is not attending the trial. He tried to get Paul to come and now wants Georgia to try. He insinuates that if Paul files for divorce, it may sway the jury to convict her.

Georgia goes outside and is swarmed by the press. She sees Ellen outside and asks her to talk to her. Ellen tells her she doesn’t want to be on the news, and she doesn’t know what to think. Georgia goes as far as her ankle monitor will let her before Ellen runs inside, but realizes she can get on the Bakers' property without it going off.

Georgia gets another supervised visit with Ginny and Austin. Since Ginny recently found out she is pregnant, she is acting weird, and Georgia doesn’t get a chance to find out what’s bothering her.

Georgia calls Paul and tells him she needs him in court. She tells him she has a few secrets, but she’s the same woman he married. Paul tells her he has to think about what’s right for him, and that the trial is destroying his career. He hangs up on her.

Georgia is hanging out with Joe. Joe asks where Paul is. Georgia says she knows she can't trust anyone. She isn't surprised Paul left, but she thought he was different. Georgia tells Joe that Gil used to abuse her and that something is up with Ginny.

Ginny sneaks past the press into Georgia's house by having Maxine and Sophie create a distraction outside. Ginny tells Georgia she needs to tell her something. Georgia suspects that she may be pregnant with Wolfe's child. She asks Ginny if she wants to have the baby and Ginny says no. Georgia tells Ginny that she loves her kids, but they have changed her life. Georgia has Ginny take a pregnancy test at her house to be 100% sure she is pregnant. Georgia calls and makes an abortion appointment for Ginny and begs her to bring someone with her. Ginny says she can go alone. Ginny sneaks back out of the house past the press while Georgia sprays them with a gardening hose to distract them.

Remembering that Georgia can get to the Bakers' house with her monitor. She climbs into Marcus's bedroom window and asks if he still loves Ginny. He does. She convinces him to take Ginny to the clinic.

Marcus brings Ginny back to Georgia's, and Georgia has set up sprinklers in the front yard. They are soaked when they come inside. Ginny goes upstairs, and Georgia tells Marcus she knows he stole her bottle of wine the other night when he fixed her window. Georgia tells Marcus her mom was an addict and that he's a good kid. Marcus leaves, and Georgia sets up a heating pad and blankets for Ginny on the couch. Ginny asks Georgia if she thinks she made the right decision. Georgia tells her she shouldn't feel any shame about her decision to have an abortion. Georgia tells Ginny she is proud of her.

Zion calls Georgia to ask if she knows where Ginny is. Georgia tells him she's at her house and that she was pregnant and had an abortion. Zion comes over and tells Georgia that Ginny is not supposed to be there. He takes Ginny with him and they go back to his place. Georgia sits down to drink wine alone when Joe comes over. Georgia tells him she had a long day and cries in his arms. He comforts her. They almost kiss and Joe says he has to go. Paul calls Georgia and says they need to talk. He asks if he can come over. Georgia says yes but begins to have a panic attack. Paul comes over and begins to tell her that he wants a divorce. Georgia lies and says she is pregnant and shows him Ginny's pregnancy test. Paul is not happy; he moves back in but starts sleeping on the couch.

Paul tells Georgia he doesn't want to tell anyone about the pregnancy until they decide what they are going to do about it. Georgia says she's having the baby and Paul says his child will not be born in prison. Georgia says they both better hope she doesn't get convicted.

The next day in court, Paul shows up. Georgia's attorney makes a big deal of the press and announces that Paul is present. They call the next witness to the stand, Dr. Stella Hingston. That night, Georgia uses her bird-watching binoculars and spots her neighbor cheating on his wife. She spots a security sign in the front yard and uses her neighborhood directory to call his wife, telling her that they have an alert and she needs to check her house.

Later, Paul comes inside and says he sees the neighbor chasing her husband down the street, screaming that she wants a divorce. He says it's nice that they're not the only ones being crazy around there. Georgia thanks Paul for coming to court. Paul says he's still not sure about their marriage.

The next morning, Georgia gets up to make Paul coffee and lunch before work. He says his back hurts from sleeping on the couch. Nick comes in Paul's office and says he's ready for the press conference to announce Paul and Georgia's divorce. Paul says he cancelled the press conference. Nick asks if Georgia got to Paul. He says no as he eats his over-the-top packed lunch from Georgia.

At Georgia's supervised visit with Austin and Ginny, Ginny tells Georgia she won a poetry contest. Ginny tells Georgia that Zion is going to come to a therapy session. Austin refuses to talk and is wearing a sweatshirt. Georgia thinks he is covering bruises from Gil and asks him to take off his sweatshirt. He does, Georgia and Ginny check, and there are no bruises. Gil and Zion show up to the supervised visit to pick the kids up. Paul also shows up to get Georgia. Gil has a black eye from Joe punching him in the face right before on the sidewalk. The kids and their dads leave. Paul tells Georgia he is thinking about the name Bobby for a boy. He says he is done sleeping on the couch. Paul and Georgia kiss.

Zion goes to therapy with Ginny. He finds out that Georgia and Ginny lived in a car when Ginny was younger, to escape Zion. Zion goes to Georgia's house and confronts her. He says he should have fought for custody a long time ago. Paul comes down and asks Zion if he wants to go out for a beer. He agrees. While at Blue Farm Cafe, Zion and Paul are talking about becoming parents so young. Zion says that Ginny has gone through a lot at her age. Paul asks what Ginny went through, and Zion tells her she's fine now, so it's okay.

Paul realizes that Ginny was pregnant. He comes home with a pregnancy test and tells Georgia to take it. He realizes she is not pregnant. Paul says he loved Georgia and that he put a great deal on the line. He says he knew Georgia was guilty and still didn't leave, but her lying about being pregnant is too much. She says he was going to divorce her. Paul says she has too many secrets. Georgia tells Paul he's the reason her kids are gone. Paul hits the wall and comes close to hitting Georgia. She has a panic attack. He tells her that she's the most selfish person he has ever met. He says she is going to prison, and her kids will be better off without her. He leaves.

Paul announces publicly that he is filing for divorce. He asks for privacy. The press asks if he thinks Georgia is guilty, and he responds with "no comment." Georgia's attorney calls her and says Paul is no longer paying him, and he can no longer represent her. He says he can help her find a new attorney, or the state will appoint one for her. Personality[]

Georgia is an eccentric, likable, and youthful woman who cares greatly for her children and has an easy time making friends and forming relationships. Due to her Southern roots, she exhibits some elements of the ‘Southern Belle’ stereotype, such as being very friendly, flirtatious, and witty, along with having a strong Southern accent and regularly using phrases and inside jokes that refer to her Southern heritage.

Likely because of her abusive upbringing, her struggle to make a life for herself through her teenage and adolescent years, and the traumas and demons she still deals with as a result of her past, Georgia cares immensely for her children and would do anything for them. Likely also because of her past, Georgia doesn’t think highly of herself. Still, at a certain point, she tells Ginny that Austin and she are her future, and that she was prepared to do anything to give them a normal life, not grow up under circumstances like she did.

Georgia always does her best for her children, which is evident in the unconditional support she gives them, such as helping them with anything and always ensuring they are okay. She also always maintains a positive attitude and tries to cheer her kids up, even in the most negative situations, through banter, hosting living room dance parties, or simply downplaying the situation and distracting them with something that’ll take their minds off it.

Physical Appearance[]

Georgia is a beautiful woman with blonde hair, brown eyes, and dark eyebrows. She stands at 5’6 "and has a very elegant and fashionable style, usually wearing two-piece suits, sweaters, or coats. Despite being in her thirties, Georgia is often assumed to be younger than she is, which is evident when she first meets Ellen, who is shocked to learn that Georgia has a teenage daughter, until Georgia explains to her that she was 15 when she gave birth to Ginny. Georgia also has no problems getting attention due to her looks; not only from her romantic interests, but also from some of Ginny’s friends who admire her for her looks and her sense of fashion.

Relationships[]

Family[]

Ginny Miller[]

Georgia and Ginny's father, Zion, conceived Ginny when Georgia was 14 years old, shortly after meeting each other; then, Georgia gave birth to Ginny at 15 years old. Georgia loves and cares deeply about Ginny, despite their frequent arguments. However, the discord in their relationship is that Georgia views her relationship with Ginny as that of friends, often struggling to discipline her appropriately and then lashing out when fear takes over. It's pretty learned that the reason why Ginny and Georgia's relationship is so special is due to the fact that they were both kids when Ginny was born, and they grew up together as a result of it. Even though they have their moments of tension and anger, they still very much care deeply about one another.

As expected, Georgia is distraught upon learning that Ginny was self-harming. Upon confronting Ginny, she is beyond horrified to see the burn marks. She begins blaming herself, but Ginny reassures her that it started all before Kenny. The two then spend a long time embracing in their emotional moment.

Austin Miller[]

Georgia and Austin's father, Gil, conceived Austin when Georgia was 21 years old and gave birth at 21 years old, just before her 22nd birthday. It is observed that Austin was conceived around Ginny’s 7th birthday, possibly right around the time or just after. Georgia had planned to run away with Ginny, but when she discovered she was pregnant with Austin's child, she was forced to stay with Austin’s father, Gil, for financial security. Georgia loves and cares about Austin. Georgia and Austin appear to have a fun and playful relationship and are extremely protective of each other.

Georgia and Ellen eventually break up when Georgia brings over a bottle of wine and apologizes, saying that she has learned her lesson. She shares with Ellen that Marcus is still climbing through Ginny's window. Georgia apologizes to Ellen later on, and Ellen forgives her, leading to them resuming their friendship and keeping an extra eye on Ginny and Marcus together.

Joe Singh[]

Georgia met Joe when they were teenagers, and she has always kept the Ray-Ban sunglasses he gave her as a gift. Despite this, it’s left ambiguous whether Georgia instantly recalls Joe when they meet again as adults in Wellsbury. Regardless of this, they develop a friendship over time as Georgia often visits Blue Farm, Ginny starts working there, and Georgia often comes to the bar to talk to Joe. As their friendship develops, however, when Joe remembers their interaction as teenagers and sees the sunglasses, he tries to confess his feelings towards Georgia on multiple occasions, but is interrupted every time. Shortly before Georgia's wedding to Paul, Joe at last confronts Georgia about it. Still, Georgia, who’s soon to be married, isn’t sure of what to say, and consequently claims there’s nothing she doesn’t think of, leaving both of them disappointed. Joe still ends up attending Georgia’s wedding, however, albeit reluctant to go to the celebration.

Cynthia Fuller[]

When Georgia first arrives at Wellsbury, she is initially put off by Cynthia because she is the mother of Zach, who has been bullying Austin. Afterwards, when Georgia gets a job working for Mayor Paul Randolph, she and Cynthia officially enter a rivalry surrounding the elections, with Cynthia attempting multiple times to expose Georgia and accuse her of any misdeeds surrounding the campaign, but with no success, as Paul ultimately wins the election. When Georgia notices that Cynthia has been struggling at home with her dying husband, Tom, she starts empathizing with her. At a certain point, Cynthia helps Georgia keep Gil away from her, which Georgia is very grateful for.

Romances[]

Zion Miller[]

Georgia and Zion met in a bar in Georgia when they were both teenagers and fell in love very quickly. Georgia was 14 years old, and Zion was 17 years old, when they met. They went through a lot together, including having Ginny when they were still very young. Georgia and Zion lived with Zion's parents after Ginny was born, until his parents suggested taking legal guardianship over Ginny. Georgia and Zion refused; however, Zion then appeared to come around, causing distrust between Georgia and Zion. Georgia ran from the home, not telling Zion where she was going with Ginny. Georgia then returned a year later at Zion's apartment door, where Zion was upset with Georgia for leaving but happy to see Ginny. Their relationship was strained, as Zion was forced to work for his father's company. Georgia never wanted Zion to sacrifice his dreams, telling him that she didn't want him to look at her like a prison, but rather as a person. Throughout the years when both Georgia and Zion were single, they became an on-and-off-again couple who occasionally got back together briefly, only to break up again. Georgia continues to refer to Zion as her "penguin," symbolizing their relationship, as penguins are the only birds that cannot fly, but rather learned to swim. They are content with being co-parents; however, Georgia has kept his last name until her marriage to Paul, despite never being married to Zion.

Gil Timmins[]

Georgia fell in love with Gil very quickly because at first he seemed kind and generous and didn’t have an issue with Georgia having a daughter. But as their relationship developed, and Georgia found out more about him and his career, Gil began to be abusive towards Georgia. Georgia wanted to leave Gil way earlier, but due to getting pregnant by him and having Austin, she wasn’t able to until she finally framed him, leading to his arrest and incarceration. Georgia stayed with Gil until he was framed and arrested in 2014. Georgia was 25 years old, Ginny was 10 years old, and Austin was 3 years old. Georgia is shown to be scared of Gil, but despite this still thought Austin deserved to see his dad, and considers Gil a good father.

Kenny Drexel[]

Kenny is Georgia's late husband. They met in Texas while she was working as a waitress at a restaurant called The Buffalo Hole. Little is known about their relationship, except that they lived together and eventually got married. He died from a heart attack while driving, which was brought on by the wolfsbane flower Georgia mixed into his smoothie due to him touching Ginny inappropriately.

Paul Randolph[]

Georgia took an interest in Paul after finding out he was the mayor. Georgia met Paul at Blue Farm, and she convinced Paul to have lunch with her, trying desperately to get a job at his office and win him over. Georgia was successful at this after hosting an event that he highly approved of. Over time, they developed a relationship in which Paul also began to care for her children and expressed a desire to marry Georgia. Although Paul is initially put off by certain things, such as Georgia’s unconventional approach to promoting his election, her decision to keep guns in her house, or her past, he still cares for her and wants to be with her.
